The following organizations partner with the NCMS Foundation to fulfill our mission of improving access to quality health care for all North Carolinians:

Care Share Health Alliance* aims to improve the health of low-income, uninsured North Carolinians by supporting local Collaborative Networks of Care.

The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill* seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services.

Center for Creative Leadership (CCL®) offers what no one else can: an exclusive focus on leadership education and research and unparalleled expertise in solving the leadership challenges of individuals and organizations everywhere.

Eat Smart, Move More North Carolina is a a statewide movement that promotes increased opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity wherever people live, learn, earn, play and pray.

North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians* is the state’s largest specialty medical association, with a membership of over 2,700 family physicians.

North Carolina Alliance for Healthy Communities (NCAHC) promotes educational awareness and serves as a resource for North Carolina’s healthcare communities.

North Carolina Association of Free Clinics* founded in 1998, is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that conducts advocacy, research, public relations, resource development, training and technical assistance on behalf of its member Free Clinics and the people they serve.

North Carolina Foundation for Advanced Health Programs* is a statewide non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to finding ways to make affordable, quality health care available to all North Carolinians.

North Carolina Health and Wellness Trust Fund (HWTF)* aims to to prevent, reduce and remedy the effects of tobacco use, with a particular emphasis on youth. The Trust Fund has also embarked on numerous initiatives to improve public health, and to reduce the economic and human suffering caused by preventable diseases.

North Carolina Hospitals Association (NCHA)* promotes improved delivery of quality healthcare in North Carolina through leadership, advocacy, information, and education in its members’ interest and for public benefit.

North Carolina Institute of Medicine* is an independent, quasi-state agency that was chartered by the North Carolina General Assembly in 1983 to provide balanced, nonpartisan information on issues of relevance to the health of North Carolina’s population.

North Carolina Office of Rural Health and Community Care* helps communities get low-cost access to medical care.  Since it was created in 1973, ORHCC has opened 86 rural health centers across the state. Click here for information on the economic impact of health care in North Carolina.

North Carolina Pediatric Society* was formed initially to meet primarily to get pediatric practitioners together for continuing education and fellowship, but it has expanded its mission to include the formation of policy to promote the health, safety, and well being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults in North Carolina.

North Carolina Regional Extension Center (NC HICA) and the North Carolina Area Health Education Centers (NC AHEC) meet the state’s health and health workforce needs by providing educational programs in partnership with academic institutions, health care agencies, and other organizations committed to improving the health of the people of North Carolina.

North Carolina Quality Center partners with providers and communities on their improvement journey to provide safe, quality health care.

Old North State Medical Society* represents the interests of 1,200 African American physicians practicing in the state.  The Society is dedicated to furthering equitable access and health care delivery to all patients, regardless of race, ethnicity, socio-economic status or other indices of social status.
